Disneyland's Lilly Belle Parlor Car

Although there has been a parlor car for the Disneyland Railroad since the beginning, the Lilly Belle did not join the fleet until 1975. Named after Walt’s beloved wife, Lillian, and decorated in lush opulence, the car is designed to provide a VIP experience.
Walt died in 1966 so he was not able to personally design the Lilly Belle. Lillian, however, was. She chose to design the car in Victorian style, which she loved, and the car matches the style of Walt’s apartment over the firehouse. The car was refurbished in 1998 and is still a classic of Victorian design.
Would you like to feel oh-so-special and take a ride on this gem? Report to the Main Street train station first thing in the morning and see if the car is available that day. If chosen, you will be given a ticket and be allowed to ride for a full circuit of the park.
If you are lucky there will be a docent on board who fill you in on fascinating facts and trivia about the Lilly Belle. Pictures are allowed so be sure to snap plenty
Riding the Lilly Belle is a rare treat and, if you’re fortunate enough to board, worth the time for a lovely break during your park visit.
