Five Reasons Breakfast with Minnie & Friends at Disneyland Rates As Best Character Meal

All four character breakfasts offered at the Disneyland resort are fun and tasty with their own positive points. Following are five reasons that our family keeps choosing Minnie and Friends time after time.

1. Location. The breakfast takes place at the beautiful Plaza Inn located at the crossroads of Main Street and Tomorrowland. This is one of my favorite restaurants throughout the day, and its turn of the century decor is ideal for a homey old fashioned breakfast. This is a large restaurant with inside and patio seating that easily accommodated our party of  17 on our most recent visit.

2. Food Choices. What a great and varied offering of food! All breakfast favorites are served to you in a buffet style line, and you can grab and go items like fruit, breads, and the like. Don't miss the station in the center of the restaurant that features Mickey waffles and specialty French toast.
3. Character Quantity. Lots of characters that wander freely. Where else can you find Chip and Dale, Tigger, Eeyore, Captain Hook, the Fairy Godmother and, of course, Minnie Mouse all mingling in the same place at the same time?

4. Playful Interactions. Not content to just rush by and pose quickly, characters at Minnie and Friends will take the time to sign autographs and pose, but that's not all. Captain Hook is more than happy to sneak up on an unsuspecting child (picture of Hook does not show 2 year old bolting away from the Captain and hiding under the table). The Fairy Godmother spent a good deal of time conducting princess lessons by instructing proper waving, curtsy and wand techniques.

5. Attentive Characters. Do you have a child in your group who holds back and observes but secretly would love a hug or high five? At Minnie and Friends this is noticed and characters go out of their way to be sure each child feels noticed and included.

This is a top 5 list, but as an added number 6, this breakfast is pretty economical for a quality Disney meal and experience. Although prices vary, it's $20 something for adults and $14 or so for kids..a bargain in Disney-speak.
