Wonderful Walk of Colorful Cuisine Review Epcot Festival of the Arts 2021

A fun addition to the 2021 Festival of the Arts at Epcot World Showcase was the Wonderful Walk of Colorful Cuisine.

At five stops along the way, you purchased a specific menu item from booths that were part of the festival. Each of the items fit the theme of color as in an artist's palette. At each stop you'd get a stamp in the proper space of your Festival Passport, which you then turned in at Decadent Delights at Showcase Plaza and received your complimentary treat.

Four of us undertook the challenge. Here's our impressions.

Stop number one was Morocco, and the food item was Mouskoutchou, described in our Festival Passport as: Orange Cake with Cinnamon-Orange Chocolate Mousse. It was certainly an attractive presentation. Ratings were, on a 1-10 scale, 7.5, 9, 6 & 6, for an average of 7.1. Low scores came from some dryness and not enough flavor.

Stop number 2 was at Vibrante & Vivido Food Studio, a kiosklocated between Morocco and France, where we sampled Blue Corn Pupusa stuffed with Cheese and  topped with Shredded Pork, Guajillo and Arbol Chile Sauce, Cabbage Slaw and Aji Amarillo Crema. Ratings : 9, 7.5, 10 & 10, for an average of  9.125. Winner Winner.

Next up, Festival Favorites which was located inside the World Showcase Events Pavilion for Remy's Ratatouille  with Eggplant, Zucchinni, Yellow Squash, Tomatoes, and Red Pepper Piperade (oddly this was not at France). This dish came in with ratings of 5. 6.5, 6  6, for an average of 5.875. Bland with little to no seasoning was the biggest critique.

On to The Painter's Palate, also inside the World Showcase Events Pavilion for Pistachio Cake with Cherry Mousse and Morrello Cherries. This pretty little dessert drew ratings of 9.5, 9.5, 7 & 9 for an average of 8.75.

Our final stop was The Masterpiece Kitchen in Canada for the lovely Vanilla, Rose Water, and Pistachio Panna Cotta, which rated 8.5, 9, 8.5 & 7.5 for an average of 8.375.

We were then able to collect our reward, this surprisingly tasty Artists Palette cookie, which disappeared quickly.

These little extras make the Festivals even more fun. Every visit finds new things to explore and enjoy.
